Democrat Cheri Beasley wants us to pay for mutilating and sterilizing black children

EDUCATION FIRST ALLIANCE STATEMENT:

We are mortified, but not surprised, to learn that Democratic Senate candidate Cheri Beasley wants taxpayers to fund child mutilation and sterilization. The Senate candidate made this statement at a forum hosted by the LGBTQ+ Democrats of North Carolina in 2021:

Trans people and especially people of color face a lot of barriers around access to health care, and I know Biden reversed Trump's policies that rolled back protections for transgender people in health care," Beasley said. "We know Republicans, of course here in North Carolina, continue to launch attacks against trans people, including limiting the ability of trans youth to have gender-affirming surgeries. There's just something deeply troubling about that.

What Cheri Beasley doesn’t say is that children who undergo sex-change surgeries must take dangerous hormones a year prior to surgery, and then cross-sex hormones for the rest of their lives.

We have some questions for Cheri Beasley:

• Does Democrat Cheri Beasley know that a significant amount of teens regret getting sex-change surgeries?

• Does Democrat Cheri Beasley know that giving puberty blockers to children can cause mental illness?

• Does Democrat Cheri Beasley know that the FDA has not / will not approve puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to children?

• Does Democrat Cheri Beasley know that the FDA recently issued warnings against giving puberty blockers to children because the drugs can cause brain swelling and vision loss?

• Does Democrat Cheri Beasley know that puberty blockers can cause osteoporosis, seizures, cognitive impairment, and, sterility?

• Does Democrat Cheri Beasley know European countries like Sweden, France, and Finland have either limited the use of puberty blockers have prohibited their use due to the damage the drugs have done to children?

• Does Democrat Cheri Beasley know that a clear majority of American voters want giving puberty blockers and hormones to children banned?

What we find most disturbing is that Cheri Beasley singled out black children in her call for taxpayer funding for sterilization and mutilation. This program is reminiscent of Eugenics. Over 7,600 black men and women were sterilized by North Carolina's eugenics program between 1929 and 1974, making it impossible for them to have families.

The disgraceful and immoral practice of Eugenics has left a permanent stain on North Carolina and America. We work tirelessly to ensure that we will NEVER be taken back to this dark time in our history.

Democrat Cheri Beasley is taking the side of radical activists rather than what North Carolinians want and, crucially, what medical experts recommend.

Cheri Beasley's extremist policy of mutilating and sterilizing children at taxpayer expense will destroy our children and endanger the future of America.
